One very creative idea for your pool if you are done deploying it as an actual pool is to carefully turn it into a lake and complete it with your preferred fish (koi make especially good individuals.) Of course, be sure to don't actually swim in it, as it'll essentially be considered a living space and no much longer a pool, and complete it up enough so that there's not a huge drop between your top of the pool and the top of water. You can even build an entire garden or veranda around it and make your large lake the focal point of your back garden.

Don't take action with cement. Instead, complete it with ground that's appropriate for your neighborhood, and then use topsoil for the last few top tiers.
